About enki

We believe artificial intelligence is far more than a passing trend. It opens up ways to automate processes and solve challenges that until now could only be addressed with considerable effort, or not at all.

Marco Crisafulli

I am an engineer. I often understand how things work only after they break. I am fascinated by how quickly AI and its wider ecosystem are evolving. My bachelor's degree in software engineering taught me how to build, understand and maintain complex systems.

During my years as a developer in emergency services—including ambulance services, the police and border control—I learnt that features matter, but stability matters more.

I also helped build and operate several Kubeflow platforms. They reliably processed millions of data points every day and ran dozens of machine learning models in production.

I bring these experiences to enki. I want to design solutions that do more than work as prototypes: they need to remain sustainable over the long term.

What began as a garage project during lockdown quickly turned into an intensive exploration of AI, machine learning and the infrastructure behind it. The challenges we encountered laid the foundations for enki.

I want to understand how things work—and why they sometimes do not. I enjoy taking problems apart, recognising connections, trying out ideas and working on them until there is a solution that works in everyday practice.

Through my work in industry and insurance, I have come to know both technical and business questions. This experience helps me look at problems from different perspectives and develop solutions that are not only technically interesting but also useful in practice.
